  There may be days when getting your diabetes under good control will seem like a lonely job. But you’re not alone. There are many healthcare professionals who can be part of your team to help you manage your diabetes and maintain your health. Remember, YOU are the most important person on your diabetes team, but you are not alone.
You may not always be able to engage all team members, but it is useful to understand how each can provide information, support, and care. A variety of healthcare providers can help you learn about diabetes and how to take good care of yourself. Working with healthcare providers is a two-way street; they need you to tell them how things are working and when you need help. You are the key member of the team.

  It is a good idea to see a dietitian in every visit to the clinic , do not hesitate when you have problems or questions.

It is a good idea to ask the diabetes educator about classes you can take. It may be helpful to take some kind of diabetes class in every clinic visit because diabetes care is changing all of the time.

  She is Goal oriented and hard working individual with a passion for research in Diabetes,She has Experienced working in fast pace environments Pertaining to Diabetes Care Management. An individual with strong organizational, technical and interpersonal skills. Confident and poised in interactions with individuals at all levels and from varied backgrounds. Detail-oriented, resourceful in completing nutritional assessments, prepares nutrition care plans, recommends nutritional therapies, and monitors the effectiveness of nutritional care of the diabetics. She Also Conducts and participates in community education, marketing, and public relation efforts.

She Provide self Insulin Administration Techniques, Self Monitoring Blood Glucose (SMBG) techniques to diabetic patients. She Holds Expertise in Medical Nutrition Therapy in Both Type 1 .Type 2 and Gestational Diabetes Mellitus She Assists the diabetologist by providing a comprehensive history of the diabetic patients.

Conducts regular education programs to patient and their family members regarding management and prevention of complications in Diabetes and also about General Health and Nutrition related issues .

She carries with her vast experience of Individual diet consultations , school education programmes, , workshops/ talks for corporates- lower to higher level, Preparing educational material- leaflets/ power points / visual aids etc.
She has done Deputation and Training of dieticians, in other Diabetes clinics.
Organizes exclusive cookery demonstration for diabetics.
Conducts Regular CME programmes for the clinic staff on a weekly basis.

 
  Support of Family and Friends
  Anyone who will support you is part of your team. Let your friends and family help you take good care of yourself. It is a good idea to have a family member attend diabetes-education classes with you. This will not only give you a second set of eyes and ears, but you will have someone to help you who understand how all the aspects of your diabetes management plan work.

It is common for people with diabetes to experience a wide range of emotions, from anger, to denial, to a feeling of hopelessness. It is important to recognize that these feelings are normal and a part of your ability to cope with the diagnosis of diabetes or the development of a complication. These feelings may come and go. If you feel that you cannot work out the feelings or they get in the way of being able to take care of your diabetes, it is important to get some help. Many people with diabetes may experience depression, which can be treated so that it does not prevent them from reaching optimal management of diabetes
 
  Pharmacy
 

It may be helpful to use to the same pharmacy for all of your medicines, and make sure all your team members know all the medicines that you are taking, including those that are prescribed, over-the counter, and things like vitamins and herbal supplements.
